We support countries in building robust, resilient laboratory systems essential for disease surveillance, diagnosis, and response. Our work focuses on strengthening the laboratory workforce, enhancing biosafety and biosecurity practices, and improving systems for specimen referral and laboratory data integration.

• Infrastructure & Diagnostic Networks: Enhancing lab infrastructure and developing tiered national networks to expand diagnostic coverage for epidemic-prone and priority diseases.
• Policy, Regulation & Quality Systems: Supporting national policy development, regulatory oversight, and implementation of quality management systems, including ISO 15189 and external quality assurance.
• Workforce Capacity & Biosafety: Building skilled lab personnel through training and certification, while promoting biosafety, biosecurity, and risk mitigation practices.
• Data Integration & Digital Surveillance: Implementing LIMS platforms, integrating labs with surveillance systems (e.g., IDSR), and strengthening One Health collaboration and genomic data use.
• Logistics & Emergency Preparedness: Optimizing lab supply chains, referral systems, and emergency diagnostic surge capacity, including mobile labs and outbreak testing protocols.
